Boxer brings its hybrid email client/to-do list app to Android
llowing its rebrand from Taskbox last year, Mailbox-rival Boxer has finally brought its email client to the Android realm too.
To recap, Boxer and its predecessor Taskbox have been offering a fairly powerful hybrid email/to-do list app for a while already, with a new look and set of features leading to claims that set it up nicely to challenge Mailbox. Now, following its acquisition of Enhanced Email back in February, Boxer is now looking to expand its userbase with Android.
Boxer’s ambitions extend beyond simple email management into the productivity sphere, with a built-in ‘to-do list’ feature letting you shift your chosen messages to your own to-do list within Boxer with the deftest of swipes.
It’s nicely designed for sure, and follows many of the design principles you’ll be accustomed to both with Boxer on iOS and other email clients. You swipe to delete/archive/trash/spam emails, while Dropbox and Box supports means you can attach documents from your cloud-based accounts.
With support for Gmail (including Gmail labels), Outlook, Yahoo, Exchange, Hotmail, iCloud, AOL, Office 365, and any IMAP & POP3 email accounts, Boxer covers a lot of ground.
